Alexandra & Gustavo

Gustavo proposed to Alexandra right after ringing in the New Year while vacationing on a cruise. He proposed after the countdown and New Years kiss on January 1, 2014.

The couple decided to have a small, more intimate, civil ceremony with their closest friends and family. The two thought it would be a great idea to go back to New Orleans, where it all started. Gustavo and Alexandra both love the city and thought it would be the perfect setting. When picking the venue, Alexandra said she "wanted something that really gave the guests a true New Orleans experience, so we definitely wanted something in the French Quarter. I also loved the idea of having a small intimate ceremony and party in a courtyard." After a lot of research, they came across Broussard's courtyard and thought it was a beautiful venue.

The civil ceremony was held on September 12, 2015. Here is a sampling of our couple's shoot in the French Quarter, followed by the ceremony and reception at Broussard's.

"When we lived in New Orleans we remember seeing newlyweds and their wedding party doing second lines in the French Quarter and had always wanted to do it as well. We are glad we did because it was so fun!"

Alexandra went on to say "Everything turned out better than we expected and our guests had a great time. It turned out to be exactly what Gustavo and I wanted and we couldn't be happier to be surrounded by our closest family and friends who came from all over (Miami, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, California, New York, etc.). We also had a lot of our college friends reunite for the first time back in New Orleans since we all graduated. It was very special to us since most of them played a big role in our relationship and were there when it all began."
